Description

Fire retardant containment mesh is a unique design and patented fire retardant containment system used to enclose scaffolding from the inside. It is used to prevent falling objects and provide safety for workers using the scaffold at height.

This black FR scaffold mesh has been extensively tested against similar products on the market and has shown to be stronger and lighter.

As opposed to the original Gen 1 product which has a flammability index of 8, this new and improved FRC mesh Gen 2 has a significant decrease with a flammability index of 2. Flammability index is measured on a scale of 0 to 100 with 0 being the least hazardous. Therefore this product's flammability index of 2 gives it an excellent flame resistance.

    • INSTALLATION

  • Mesh and shadecloth must be tied at the appropriate intervals
  • Mesh to be fixed with poly-banding facing outside, shadecloth facing inside
  • Full Height mesh (25x25) – requires ties at each floor and at every 3rd standard
  • Full Height Mesh and Shadecloth – requires ties at each floor and at every standard
  • Shadecloth fixed at the top ledgers by zip ties at Maximum 1.5m centres
  • Shadecloth fixed to mid rail ledgers by KwikAZ Clips to 1.5m centres (up to 200N or 20Kg deadweight)
  • Shadecloth fixed at the bottom to Toe Boards using zip ties at Maximum 1.5m centres

    • STORAGE AND HANDLING

  • FRC-Mesh is to be cleaned of all contaminants prior to re-rolling for storage
  • FRC-Mesh should be stored out of direct sunlight where possible
  • FRC-Mesh should be re-rolled for re-use with original tube insert
  • FRC-Mesh is not to be stored flat, creased or squashed
  • Prior to re-use, all FRC-Mesh Rolls to be checked for structural integrity
