Fillet is used to create moulding which is installed onto the top of formwork to create an angled edge between precast and tilt-up concrete panels. Triangular fillet is also known as fillet mould and chamfer mould. It is a decorative moulding that creates a neat chamfered edge on formed concrete structures and stops grout from leaking out, leaving a smooth off-form finish. Easy to fix and strip, it has sufficient flex to follow curves in formwork. It is commonly used to create a 45 degree chamfer in concrete between precast and tilt up panels. Fillet mould can be fixed to formwork to create a tidy edge on formed concrete structures. Fillet reduces edge chipping on concrete panels and provides a chamfered edge.
